High Grade Silver
A deep drill hole (CC-43) completed by Utah below the Utah mine workings intersected a 2.87 metre interval grading 6.8% Zn, 3.8% Pb and 167.1 gpt Ag approximately 230 metres below the lowermost mine level, indicating that mineralization continues to depth. Although another hole drilled here by Lithic intersected a thin bed of un-reactive and barren quartzite where mineralization was projected through, the potential to find mineralization in the immediately adjacent carbonate rocks remains good.
Although silver mineralization was not otherwise targeted in the 2007-2008 program, Lithic drill holes C07-03 and C08-11 intersected significant intervals of replacement-style silver-zinc-lead mineralization between the Crypto Main zone and the Utah mine. Numerous other intervals of high-grade silver mineralization outside of the Utah mine area were encountered in historical drilling. These intercepts suggest significant potential for additional high-grade silver mineralization east of the main Crypto deposit and similar to but distinct from that mined historically at the Utah mine.
